It's not to say the captains wont play either, going by previous cups, some players have passed out before the night has ended (you know who you are), some have gone home (to p1ssed to continue, again you know who you are) and some have threatened to go home, but then re-appeared later (ditto) ... anything can happen, so effectively I am covering this my having a captain/reserve on hand to each team to continue the battle.
I will also try to seed the teams a little better than previously as we are yet to have a close match in seven attempts....

Any volunteers for the second non-playing captain?
You duties on the night will be to organise your team, i.e. chose who is playing, write the team sheet, keep the night flowing by informing your players when they are on next (lots of frames to get through). You also have to administer the Shots to the losing team players and finally act as a sub if one of your players in no longer capable of delivery a cue in a straight line.
