The Buckingham and District Pool League sees the first round of the Knockout Cup take place, with some interesting ties and some major upsets.

The first upset sees unbeaten Nags Head take on 3 Cups A in a all premiership match up, after a very tight match the 3 Cups A win 5-4 and proceed to the next round, staying with the premiership The White Bear A win 9-0 against 2nd division The Phoenix, Fox B win 7-2 against 1st division Crown and Westbury Village Club A win 6-3 against 3rd division Reindeer.

The second upset shock sees top of division 1 White Bear B take on top of division 3 Sun Inn with the lesser division team giving a thrashing of 7-2 and inflicting the White Bears first loss of the season. Also in division one RBL win comfortably 7-2 against Greyhound, also division 1 3 Cups B lost to 2nd division Grand Junction 5-4.

The last match up see a local derby in Brackley with the two Rumours teams going head to head, in a close fought match sees Rumours A edge past with a 5-4 win and now all wining teams proceed to the Quarter finals on the 2nd March, all losing teams from prelims and first round will enter the Plate Knock Out Cup which starts on 9th February for fixtures check out the website www.bdpa.leaguerepublic.com.
