B team match report
Posted by bullet.gif MrChips on June 07 2010
Well as Larner has decided to take a holiday to Uz something estan, he has asked me to write the match report.

So without further delay.

After a hard week back and forth trying to get 22 men we finally thought we had it sorted but as we turn up to hereford the horror sets in that someone has let us down and were back down to 21 players. Nothing we can do at this point but just get on with it.

So 1st session

Harty, Kennedy & Rutter get us off to a flyer taking the opening 3 frames ( BOOOOM!!!!) Then up steps new recruit Ross Stone for frame 4, I watched him in practice before the game and the boy can pot, but unfortunatly the nerves got to him I think and he lost his frame. Up step Tuttlebee & Wilkins who rattle off another 2 frames. Then it all goes wrong as Larner, White, Haggarty & Hallett all lose there openers.

1st Session we lose 6-5

Onto session 2 and we open with Rutter but can carry on from frame 1 and he loses but then we get a good run of 5 frames on the bounce with Ross taking his 1st frame ( Well done that man ) Tuttlebee, Wilkins, Harty & Kennedy. Haggarty & Hallett up next, there not having a good day at the office and both lose. White gets 1 frame back while Larner loses the last. So Session 2 is won 5-6

3rd Session and Ross is back up but cant find the winning line and another frame to hereford, Liam to the rescue with another which puts him on 3/3. John Kennedy loses his 1st frame of the day then we have another run of 3 frames from Rutter, Wilkins & Tuttlebee, Hallett up next and then Hallett gets beat next. So up steps Haggarty to record his 1st win of the day. Mr White gets us another win. Up steps poor larner who cant buy a win today and guess what? Loses. He is not a happy chappy at this point! But we win the Session 5-6.

So last session up steps kennedy to record his 3rd win of the day. Rutter and Ross then lose the next 2. Nail biting time. Then here come Tuttlebee who is on 3/3 and playing well today but unfortunaly loses his final frame but then we reel off the next 4 frames with precision accuracy from Hallett, Harty, Wilkins and Larner gets his 1sta frame on the board.

So at this point in the match we are 20-22 just needing 1 more frame to secure the win so up step Haggarty and White but just wasn't to be and both lost so the final score end up 22-22.

OK, so we drew but take into account we had to give 4 frames away so I see this a possitive result.

Thanks to Ross Stone for stepping at last minute to help out and thank you to Scott Rutter for making the journey.

So Man of the match for the B's Was Dan Wilkins who played feckin awesome allday!

BIG KUDO'S to the A's with there MASSIVE 30 frames over Hereford and congrats to Jamie Whittaker for player of the match.

As always a big MAHHOOOOSIVE well done to the Bunnies with there MONUMENTAL 38 frames and player of the match Kerry Griffith.
