Seven Years of Shed

Just looked back at the history of previous competitions held in the Potting Shed and realised that I should probably document some of this before it gets forgotten in time.

The shed opened for premier pool events way back in February of 2006.

Constructed from modern space age materials and built to last at least twenty years by the motley crew of Dave, Lance and myself. (pictures below)

No expense spared (apart from the cheap labour of course). Only quality materials used in the construction, Supreme Winner table, Hi Tech LED lighting, State of the art sound system, Quality Live streaming camera (with many upgrades over time).

Some of the high lights...

Six seasons of Singles League (2006-2012) Previous winners are Dave Minister, Mark McGauley, Keith Jones and Steve Appleby.

Three seasons of Doubles (various formats)

Three seasons of Triples (Current holders are Dave/Ken/John)

Various rules and formats, nine ball, eight ball, snooker, ten ball, bowling, golf, speed pool to name just a few Smile



Six Moskoni Cup matches (2007-2012) U.S.A 3 - 3 Europe
the Blue Riband nine ball event held each year. Extremely messy.

Shedcam - Since copied by the EPA and others.

This started life as a fun project to show a local challenge match.... Initially it showed just a still image which was updated every few seconds.
Second update included a moving image and recording (See video for the 2007 Singles Final). Low quality at best.
Third update went to a HD image, better quality and multiple viewers, streaming to 40+ people a live European qualifier match. Scoring displayed via video.
Fourth update, now constantly streams virtually live 24/7 with still image preview, scoring is now done online.
All videos still online for viewing. See how much better they have become over the years and compare to the current quality stream.

Now entering the seventh season of singles league, the oldest in Buckinghamshire Smile
